PP trays are ideal for packing ready-prepared meals and good for heating in microwave ovens only. The meals could consist of fresh raw materials or processed ready-made/ ready-to-eat meals. Ho-PP trays are suitable for fruits, vegetables and salads, because of their transparency. While Co-PP is developed for using as the packaging for frozen foods.
Properties
PP is produced in two varieties. Ho-PP is transparent and morerigid than Co-PP, which unlike Ho-PP is contact-clear, and has a softer and more flexible structure. The two types of material are used at different temperatures. Co-PP can be used below freezing point whereas Ho-PP issuitable for use to a minimum of +2c. Both materials are suitable for heating food in microwave ovens.

Components
PP : It is possible to use either homopolymer (Ho-PP) or copolymers (Co-PP) depending on the applications. It can be produced in white, translucent, color or bicolors.

Co-PP :
Perfect for frozen food products.
Less crack under frozen condition.
