Environmental concerns are highest priority at House of Pack, and only environmentally friendly plastics approved for direct food contact are used in production. When incinerated, all our packagings (CPET, APET, PP, PS, and PP/EVOH/PP) can re-enter the cycle in nature and the only by-products of incineration are CO2 and H2O as well as a minor quantity of ash.

CPET
All CPET trays contain up to 25% post consumer recycled plastic in the middle layer. All raw materials used, including recycled ones, are certified suitable for food contact packaging. Our supplier complies with regulations about functional barriers, where national regulation legislates accordingly on the use of recycled plastic.
After use as food packaging, CPET trays can be ground and reused for secondary, non-food purposes like today's PET plastic bottle. CPET is suitable for landfill sites without any known risk to the environment. |

APET
Our APET trays contain up to 50% post consumer recycled plastic in the middle layer. All raw materials used, including recycled ones, are certified suitable for food contact packaging. PP
Polypropylene is fully-recyclable with both monolayer PP, Homo-PP for chilled ready meals and Co-PP for frozen ready meals, and also multilayer PP/EVOH/PP that's used for high-barrier food packaging. |

PS packagings are now mostly grounded and reused in automotives part and non-food plastic production. Otherwise, PS is suitable for landfill site without any known risk to the environment. |
